| 01.28.05 | Pay-Per-View | Yes! I am not a bastard movie-snob after all! A biopic about a guy i'm not really interested in whose music i'm not really into... All signs point to me hating this movie, except it's too well-made not to like. It really deconstructs and toys with the forms of both biopics and musicals in generaly and comes up with a refreshing way to tell the story. Of course great performances from Kline and Judd don't hurt, nor does the increasing quality of aging make-up. All in all, it's a movie that i didn't think i'd like but did despite myself, which is always a good thing. |
