| 08.30.08 | Netflix | Rip Torn plays a bastard mid-range country western singer on tour in the form of a never-ending bender... well, a 106-minute bender I guess. This fits pretty well with a lot of other movies I've seen from 73 or 74... character-based story, sweaty and intimate and authentic, mostly quiet, severely unpolished, and a hell of a downer ending. Pretty good stuff. Mainly, I'll be happy to send this back to netflix and end my longest rental ever. |
