12.23.09 | Borrowed | I actually watched movies this holiday! Starting with this one. It's pretty funny when I go and visit my parents for Christmas and we have to decide what to watch for the few nights before xmas that I'm there. We kind of throw movies back and forth trying to figure out what we haven't seen... meanwhile there are like a dozen DVDs wrapped up under the tree; the stuff we all REALLY want to see. So this year we ended up watching the first couple Lethal Weapons. It's been a long time since I've seen this. I remember it being the blueprint for the cop movie stereotype but i don't remember so much 80s saxophone. I remember it being more about Mel's suicidalism but I didn't remember the "do it! do it! use my gun and shoot your face off!" scene. And I'm still confused... was Gary Busey actually dating Murtaugh's daughter? Because how does that work? I don't think it does. |
