| 12.28.09 | Netflix | This was fun. Borrowed a bit... ok A HELL OF A LOT from Jacques Tourneur's Night of the Demon - enough so that I'd even call it a remake - but oh well. Raimi inserts enough humor and actor-sadism to update the story and make it peppier than the original. Poor Alison Lohman! with the maggots and the slime and everything in her mouth. Ugh. But yeah, a small film, kinda like The Gift but more entertaining, but a fun ride of a horror film nonetheless. |
