| 05.20.05 | DVR | It has been so unbelievably long since I've seen this, I think the last time was like in middle school towards the end of the year when the teachers give up and just show movies for two weeks. So with the new one coming out, I felt like revisiting this one. The musical sequences (except the Oompa Loompas of course) were still boring and Gene Wilder was still awesome. I think every kid has wanted an edible candy paradise at least once in their life. I hope Burton's Marilyn Manson take on the story retains that charm... the story is borderline-creepy as it is without having to goth it up. |
