09.12.11 | Netflix | So... I heard this trilogy was good. So far I have to disagree. It seems like the whole movie was shot in extreme close-up focusing on weird things that I hardly recognize. It's like 45% random objects, 15% that one girl's weird mouth, and 40% Andrew Garfield's weird face. It's also like the whole movie is so slow and boring, they have to show you a glimpse of the last scene in an effort to hold your interest, but when you get to the end of the movie, you've already seen what happens. It's sort of like showing a spoiler-heavy trailer for the film RIGHT BEFORE the film. Granted, it was just like 2 shots, but there's enough there to tell what the whole movie is. The other two are in my queue so I'll watch them. Paddy Considine's in the next one so I'm hopeful. |
