| 06.14.12 | Netflix | Bradley Cooper takes a pill, gets a haircut, and becomes the smartest man in the world. I think this movie lived or died by its ending. The premise is pretty cool and things more or less go how you'd expect - like a Superman movie where the only real question is where the kryptonite is at any given scene - but the ending really has the power to either make this an awesome movie or just another forgettable flick. I love the ending of this movie. And nothing else really gets in its way. Cooper is good, the direction is good, script good, and I guess De Niro felt like acting a bit this time out because he's good as well. Really good movie. |
