02.22.14	Netflix	The further adventures of Riddick... I guess? I mean, not to sound harsh or anything but did anyone really WANT another Riddick movie? Is there some niched fanbase somewhere clamoring to find out what happened after the conclusion of the last one? 9 years ago? I like David Twohy's work and all but... a whole movie about Riddick trying to escape some random planet? It seems like a single issue of a comic book to me, not a movie. I feel like The Arrival and Pitch Black both stand up as solid sci-fi movies that don't need sequels or trilogies to follow up on. But you know... I didn't turn this off half way through... I don't think it's a terrible movie or anything and I shouldn't complain about a big budget sci fi movie that's not based on a comic or cartoon. It just feels very minor to me Is all.
