| 05.04.14 | Netflix | I think it's really great that Rick Linklater is doing that AFS series of 80s movies. I have a little guilt that I bought a season pass to them and have been too busy or tired or not in the mood to make it out to them. It also made me realize that I have some considerable holes in Linklater's filmography, mostly starring Ethan Hawke. I enqueued this in an effort to catch up. So what do you do when you like a movie's subject matter but don't care for its star? The guy who played Orson was great but Efron was distracting and the script wasn't perfect. I think my favorite part was Joe Cotton. |
