| 06.25.15 | Netflix | I have to say I liked this more than I thought I would. I kind of thought that Clint Eastwood is too old these days to make a movie with any real excitement. I mean I love his earlier stuff and think he's a great movie star and all that, but I feel like he makes old person movies these days. While the subject matter and politics of this movie might still fit that bill, the filmmaking doesn't. This is a solid war movie and Bradley Cooper earns all the acclaim he got last awards season. It's a nice surprise to like a movie you assumed was boring oscar bait. yay for that. |
