| 09.24.15 | Alamo South Lamar | This Screening is part of event: FantasticFest 2015 My first midnight was this crazy musical from Ghana. The two main characters rap and sing through the whole thing in pidgeon dialect that's half english and half whatever. It looked like there was very little crew involved, real Ghana locations and people, and I didn't really understand... let's say half of it. But the music was pretty good, and I followed enough to understand the broad strokes of what was going on, and it's always interesting to get a glimpse at a completely foreign point of view. I liked this one the most of the whole night. I should look up these guys on bandcamp. |
