| 09.25.15 | Alamo South Lamar | This Screening is part of event: FantasticFest 2015 Day 2 started with this Phillipino movie mostly set to music with very little dialog. This was everything I was afraid Coz ov Moni would be. There was no discernible story for the most part and on the rare occasion that something would happen, it was really confusing as to what was going on. The one thing that I liked about it was that the first scene of the movie was kind of a roll call where each character steps forward and looks into the camera and gets a title card explaining who they are (Criminal, friend, piano player, whore, etc.). However, they couldn't even do that right because a central character (Godfather) gets his introduction 5 minutes later. This one really killed my energy for the whole day. Didn't like it at all. |
