Ultimately, he crosses another river (can't tell which is the titular one) into Thailand. This movie had a pretty huge empathy problem for me. I feel like it was very much taking from Hitchcock in a "wrong man" situation but... accidental or not, the dude KILLS another dude. So am I supposed to be rooting for him to escape from authorities and get away with MURDER? Because I'm not. I'm kind of hoping he gets caught. So that kind of ruined the movie for me. |
