| 10.17.15 | Netflix | Well I finally got this watched. Kind of the only thing that got me through the first half hour was Denis Villeneuve's name. For the most part I found this pretty plodding and slow. It's kind of not until the last scene that I was really engaged. The whole thing begs for a second viewing to try and figure out what the end means, but I don't think I'm that invested. Whether it was literal or figurative, I don't really care. I can see how Villeneuve got from here to Prisoners, but I liked Prisoners much more. |
