| 02.28.16 | Netflix | It's been a while since I've seen this and, since I consider this to be the Coen's worst movie, I figured I'd revisit on the off chance that my opinion had changed. Certainly there's some good stuff in here. Tom Hanks' performance is great. Roger Deakins, the gospel music. But the story still bothers me, Maroln Wayans' performance takes me out of the movie, and J.K. Simmons' IBS is dumb. But all that said, the first half of the film isn't too bad. I guess now I'll have to see Intolerable Cruelty again to see how that holds up. |
