| 07.19.05 | Alamo South Lamar | Well, Deep Royal definitely stole the show. Depp is too arbitrarily weird. It works some of the time but the stuff at the end seemed forced. Maybe i just have stronger memories of the first memory than the book. It was ok, the music numbers were way better. Saw it with an Alamo "Chocolate Feast" with four courses of somehow-chocolate-involved food. I learned that the difference between chugging five glasses of wine over a three hour movie and four glasses in ninety minutes is... pretty big. I had to lighten up on the last glass of port for two reasons (the other being I've never been a big fan of port). It was definitely hitting the audience though, old ladies were giggling all over the place. |
