| 01.06.17 | Internet | Blake Lively('s bikini) vs. an insanely begrudging shark. This sounds pretty petty considering what this movie is, but dang that was one mean shark. I don't know why the seagull gets to be nice and the shark has to be an asshole... With a whole dead whale all to himself shouldn't he be gorged for weeks? Wouldn't he lose interest? I guess the movie is positing the idea that he's defending his whale... which I guess I buy for the purposes of terrorizing Blake Lively, if not in real life. On the other hand, I thought this was pretty decently handled. It's not quite as stark as All is Lost (and it's certainly no Jaws) but it's not terrible either. It could've been a lot worse. |
