08.01.25 | Internet | Tim Robinson's netflix show I couldn't take in single sittings but certain individual sketches really strike me as hilarious. The danger here is the movie being too long so Robinson's comedy being too much for me. There were moments where the awful fatalistic cringe was almost unbearable for me but I laughed out loud a good half dozen times and I think some scenes will stick with me just like the sketches do. Overall I thought it was good. Certainly that long lens look with the snow puts a stamp on it. I would say it's like an A24 filter on the whole movie but I more believe that's just a shared vibe these days. I did think the movie might involve much more violence and think it could've gone there... Plot-wise I think my only gripe is that I have a hard time believing this character has sustained an otherwise normal life up to the point at which we meet him. |
