| 10.04.05 | Landmark Dobie | Wow. what a visual treat. Every frame could be a piece of art in itself. This is a really wild great movie. It fits perfectly with Alice in Wonderland, The Neverending Story, and Stephen King's The Talisman. McKean's design is so COOL... but Neil Gaiman's script takes it beyond just a visual presentation. There's actually a decent story here. It's whimsical, magical, ethereal and surreal. I really can't even describe how lush and intricate every shot is... it's a real achievement... and I can NOT wait to get it on DVD. Again, Wow. |
