| 12.05.05 | Music Monday | Loosely tracing the metamorphosis of be-bop into free Jazz, this doc (directed by Alamo-involved Anne Heller) strings together clips of Thelonius Monk, Coltrane, Mingus, and about a half-dozen others for some performances and interviews about the period that jazz loses me. I just need those rhythms I guess. It was an interesting doc though. |
