06.24.06 | Borrowed | so I fell asleep halfway through this and had to pick it up today. No Krueger-infested dreams though so that particular experiment is a no go. This one is probably the pinnacle of what the series became... I think up till now though each one is different in its own right, but now if I remember correctly each movie is basically a copy of this one with all the creative freddy-as-tv, freddy-as-roach-motel, freddy-as-pizza deaths instead of him just being a bad guy that cuts you in your dreams. The wetness factor in this one is at like 5%... barely a gleam, although to be fair you don't really see straight Freddy that much in this one, he's usually in a different form. I actually remember renting this when it first came out... which makes me like 9 or 10 when I saw it... and for whatever reason I always thought I'd seen the first two even sooner so who knows what my parents were letting me watch. I remember a friend of mine, having already seen it, say that "Freddy gets fresh!" referring to the scene where the nurse takes her uniform off for the kid before turning into Freddy with the tongue-tying and all... but mostly I remember that this was the best sequel and it probably still is.
